How to use crop & rotate image

  1. Select an image and drag a crop region, or enter exact pixel bounds.

  2. Optionally lock a fixed ratio (1:1, 4:3, 16:9, 3:2).

  3. Rotate in 90° steps or flip horizontally/vertically.

  4. Export — the output contains only the pixels inside your final crop.

What this tool does

  • Free crop and fixed aspect ratios with live pixel dimensions
  • Numeric crop bounds for exact control
  • 90° rotation and horizontal/vertical flip
  • Output rasterized from the final geometry only

How the result is verified

The output is re-decoded and its dimensions are checked against the crop preview before download; cropped-out regions are not present anywhere in the exported bytes.

Frequently asked questions

Is a cropped area really removed?

Yes. The export draws only the crop region into a new canvas and encodes fresh bytes. Unlike some document formats where cropping merely hides content, the removed pixels do not exist in the output file.

Is my file uploaded to a server?

No. The file is opened with your browser's File API and processed by code running in your tab. You can confirm this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network panel, and process a file — no request carries your file's bytes. See our How it works page for a step-by-step verification guide.
